Hackney Refugee & Migrant Support Group is raising funds to help J avoid homelessness and deportation from the UK.
J is a 33 year old Indian woman who came to Britain 15 years ago on a student visa. She studied for a degree at Cardiff University and then worked in retail until 2011. She is what the Home Office call an ‘overstayer’ as she has stayed in the UK after her visa expired.
